Sorry for the late post on this again guys! I have been so busy since I got back from this York trip, what with trying to get my home store, Hull, to look as amazing as York, then the week after going to Newcastle and Huddersfield stores then of course Leeds Fest. I guess you could say everything has got a little bit on top of me recently!
The trip to York was all about me and Amy supporting the store to get their footwear department fitted and their stock rooms up and ready for the staff to run easily.. this was definitely easier said than done! The first night shift we did we were split into different brands throughout the store and we were each told to re-merchandise them to what the 'old' look was. The buyers of each brand then came in over the next few days to re-merchandise our work into what they envisaged their brand to look like for the new seasons stock in Republic stores across the country.
As the buyers were in through the day, me, Amy, Loran (White Rose), Neil (Huddersfield), Ian (Teesside), Terri (Grimsby), James (York) and the Visual Manager, Hannah and her assistant, Emma all came in through the night to tidy up and tweak what the buyers had done or sort through the shoe deliveries and get the stock rooms up and ready for when the workmen had fitted the shoe displays in both the men's and women's floors.
Unfortunately, we were not permitted to take pictures of the merchandising we did - or really anything that was going on on the shop floor, but, I have managed to find some pictures of the York store shoe departments since we have been there! I thought you might enjoy the behind the scenes pics of what we were doing whilst visiting York anyway! :)
